Emily M. Maglio

Emily Maglio is a partner at Leonard Carder where she represents labor unions in all aspects of labor relations, including practice in federal and state courts and the National Labor Relations Board and providing counsel and advice on organizing, collective bargaining, and internal governance. Emily also represents Taft Hartley plans in benefit claim litigation and arbitration. Her litigation experience includes numerous arguments before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. District Courts, and state courts, presentation of evidence and argument in multiple hearings before the National Labor Relations Board and the Public Employment Relations Board for the State of California as well as in arbitrations, drafting legal briefs, and handling discovery.

Emily joined Leonard Carder in October 2011, following her clerkship for the Honorable Lawrence K. Karlton, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California.

Emily graduated from Stanford Law School in 2009, where she served as co-Editor-in-Chief for the Stanford Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties and was a member of the Stanford Law Review. During law school, Emily worked at a variety of organizations and public interest law firms. She was also co-president of Stanford’s chapter of Law Students for Reproductive Justice, an executive board member of the Women of Stanford Law, a Public Interest Fellow, and an active member of the Stanford Latino/a Law Students Association.
