David Gumbiner

David joined Leonard Carder as an Associate in 2022. He represents public and private sector unions in organizing campaigns, collective bargaining, arbitrations, and civil litigation. He also represents workers in individual and class actions for wage and hour violations and independent contractor misclassification. He is proud to support all workers’ rights to economic security, safety, and control in their workplaces.

David earned his JD at UC College of the Law, San Francisco, During law school, David advised low-wage workers at the Wage Claim Clinic and the Workers’ Rights Clinic. He also spent a summer representing worker-owned cooperatives at the Sustainable Economies Law Center.

Prior to his work as an attorney, David worked as a bread baker, landscaper, and non-profit consultant.
