February 2006: Oakland Police Settle Lawsuit Brought by Longshoremen

In a police brutality lawsuit brought by war protesters (including individual members of ILWU Local 10 and the union itself), the City of Oakland has agreed to a monetary settlement and has agreed to revise its policies regarding use of force.
