
Arbitrator Gerald McKay, chair of a state-appointed factfinding panel that looked into a current impasse in labor negotiations at UC, released the panel's findings on February 17, 2005. McKay confirmed what Leonard Carder partner Ari Krantz argued on behalf of the Coalition of University Employees: UC's stated reasons for not providing wage increases to clerical employees are "false or unjustified," in the words of the San Francisco Chronicle.
